Lena’s Sparx of Truth

In the course of the past two years I have found myself amidst what I now know to be a spiritual journey, but what has at times felt like rock bottom. As I gain perspective on my life and what it means to be a soul having a human experience, I feel more compelled to share the knowledge I have gained, as well as some of my trying moments, in hopes that I may help facilitate a positive change in someone somewhere.

The heart of my mission is love, and therefore love will drive my path in this blog as it does in life. I am certainly not perfect, and I would like to repeat: I AM CERTAINLY NOT PERFECT! But, for me, this blog serves as another way to focus my ‘doing’ around my ‘being’ and acts as an accountability measure. Love is my platform, and on my platform there will only be love. In Lena’s Sparx of Truth I will dive more in depth on my practices for conscious daily love, meditation, lifelong relationships, personal religion, and more with the intent of building a love-filled mindful life in all aspects.

In my pursuit of living a life full of love, I have found several resources to be of particular guidance for my soul. I will often refer to them in the series. At the advice of my fiancé, Darahn, I listen to and/or watch Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday and Master Class. As corny as it may seem to some, Oprah brings high quality guests of a variety of backgrounds – from monks to former inmates – and engages with them on the topic of spirituality. Many of the conversations are surprising and thought-provoking. These conversations led me to the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese philosophy book which consists of 81 brief ‘chapters’ and is one of the foundational books of Taoism. Additionally, I have turned back to my childhood religion with a new understanding and re-adopted The Holy Bible into my repertoire of spiritual guides. I’m certain that over time this list will grow, but I could spend an endless amount of time studying these alone.

I would like to keep my personal introduction minimalistic, as I would like to focus less on what I have done or how I am known and focus more on what we all have the potential to be. With that said, I am a 19 year old mother to an infant son. I mentioned previously that I have a fiancé, Darahn, who currently works a standard retail job for a 21st century monopoly in order to ‘provide’. Together we are seeking a nontraditional lifestyle to better suit our creative and spiritually in-touch minds and equally support a nurturing environment for our growing family. In our short time together we have had the experiences of dropping out of college, moving three and a half hours apart, moving in together, getting engaged, having a baby, and so much more in between.

Stay tuned to Lena’s Sparx of Truth for a more personal look into my spiritual walk.
